Fasting & Hospital Arrival
Morning procedures – Please fast from midnight the day of your procedure and follow the admission time given to you from our office.
Afternoon procedures – Please have breakfast before fasting from 7am the day of your procedure. You may have sips of water until 10am. Admission time will be given to you from our office.
Of note, if the hospital contacts you directly and requests for you to arrive at a different time, please follow their instruction.
Post-op pick up
Day Surgery: Please ensure that you have an adult to pick you up and accompany you from the Hospital. Travelling alone in a Taxi or Uber is not recommended. You need to have an able adult with you for 24 hrs after an anaesthetic.
Inpatient admission: You need to arrange an adult to pick you up and accompany you home after discharge from the Hospital.
Medical students
Dr Zachariah is involved in the education of medical students and specialist trainees, and as such, you may have contact with them throughout your admission. Your permission to allow medical students and trainees to be present is appreciated, as this is the best way to encourage and develop our next generation of doctors. If you have any objections to the above, please let our staff know early so that we may organise alternative arrangements. If you have questions relating to this matter, please feel free to discuss with our Rooms.
